Wedding FAQ:

How do you know who is who outside the wedding party?

Through experience we have to learned to get you involved.  Therefore have a close relative who is not already involved in the wedding available to help the photographer seek out special family members at the reception. Create a list of people you would like photographed, and make sure the photographer and your "helper" both have access to it.

You might also help make getting these photos easier for your photographer by making sure that the people who are going to be included in these special group photos are told to be available for the photos being taken when the other groups are done–either before or immediately after the wedding ceremony.

Should we do Formal set ups before or after the service?

Before the service.  This is a great time to photograph every one when they are all focused on the task ahead of them. All the makeup is fresh and free from tear streaks. No one is wandering off to see the aunt they haven't seen in years and no one is getting anxious to go off and party. Everyone is giving the photographer their attention. With ample time to get just the right shot, the photos turn out to be perfect treasures.

Some people worry about ruining that wonderful moment when the groom sees his bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle. From experience, we find that the groom is just as emotional either way.

After the service.  If you do the photos after the service, you don't have to worry about being late for the service. People waiting at the reception can just keep partying until you arrive. It is a good idea to have it all arranged as to who you want shot in advance of the official shoot. We will set up the shot, but if you want certain people to be grouped together, you are welcome to let us know in advance. The trick is to keep everyone's attention on getting their photos taken. If you have a lot of people in your wedding party, it may be a good idea to get the large group photos out of the way first and release some of the people off to the party.

What kind equipment do you use?

In terms of Equipment, we have completely transformed our studio and services into Digital Photography. The image quality of the latest cameras exceeds the quality provided by film and allows us to change film speed in "mid-roll" and capture moments that otherwise would have been lost while changing film or camera bodies.

We shoot the entire wedding on the high resolution Canon Professional Digital Cameras and we carry backup equipment so that we are never vulnerable to equipment failure.

Can other people take photos while you are taking photos?
Ther is no problem with others taking photos or video duriong the event.  All we ask is for them to respect that we are a service you are paying for and therefore they should communicate to avoid any problems.

Should your event last longer than scheduled, will they stay? Extra charge?
We will let you (or your appointed helper) know 30 minutes prior to the end of our contracted session.  Additional time will be provided at an additional hourly rate.

What types of photos will be taken (B/W, Color, Antiques, etc..)?
